Brilliantly captured.... very well done actually. Way better than I have ever managed to get one of these big birds.

Bell 214B LN-OPO lifting some cargo to a building of the NTNU university.
Rainy weather and dull pictures. (dunno)

                Lifting off.

First lift airborne. Going to the building in the background.

A short groundstop before the next lift.

Ooooo....., I would LOVE to hear the "music" from those two blades yet again!!!!
Haven't heard a decent Bell since the early 90s...., or was it 80s. Miss it much, as the sound of the modern 'frenchmen' are to be compared with the humming of flies or something.
(Closest comes the S-92, but that is merely noice).

Thanks, 'Nichu'..., for posting pictures of THE helio in the rotary wing world!
(And the size of the main rotor blade in the picture posted in 'This is Trondheim' thread...., wow!!)

I listen to her here or here. It is LN-OPO Bell 214B in the movie.
                    That is a "real" Helicopter.

I usually find out things like this myself, but honestly...., I did not know that the Dutch Navy had the Apache in their inventory...
(Which I now see they have had for ages)

                        Thank you, Jack!!!

                          Fantastic!
The first video there, with the helio lifting that house..., it was just like watchging a scary movie, wanting to know how it ends.
That other one was just a pleasure to listen to...., as the Bell almost beat the air into submission...

When I was in service, we could decide in which Heli we want to fly. We had BO-105 wich was based on our aerodrome, I would have the chance to take a flight later. Other was a CH-53. I thought, big, green and the "i-want-to-leave" sign next to the driver. That is a Bus. No thank you.
I take the BELL. :-D The best hour of good music i ever had.

Sorry it's a Royal Netherlands Airforce Apache, the navy uses the Lynx and near future NH 90 pictures will follow.
