I have just stubled onto the existance of the "Cooper vane" installed on 737 after D. B. Cooper jumped from the rear air stair door. The Cooper vane was mandated by the FAA to prevent the rear air stair door from opening during flight.

I agree with you there, Dane...
In Kristiansund we did never have much choise, as Braathens SAFE, the national flag carrier airline, flew 737s in and out of Kvernberget Airport as the only major airline operating here. In the earliest years they also had a fleet of Fokker F-28s...., and it was in one of those I had my first flights.
As Braathens ended its operations and the service were taken over by SAS, they continued with 737.
The commercial aircraft types operated on a regular basis at Kvernberget was/is F-28, the propeller driven F-27/F-50, B737 and DHC-6 Twin Otter.

Finnair is not a stranger at OSL
Normally they fly with A319/E190/E170 but can appear with
A321/B757 also, but that's not too often

        OH-LVA - A319

        OH-LEK - Embraer 170

OH-LKN - Embraer 190 with One World livery

Finnair has most certainly improved and modernized their livery for the better.

I wish they would fly their "Santa-painted" aircraft into your frame some day.

Those images with the trails coming from the wings are absolutely to my liking, especially the first one of Turkish Airways.... much because the red sun seems to be catching/ coloring the trails in a beautiful red/pink color!

Absolutely love the last one with the ... "trails" on the wings (is that what they are called?)...

Rainy and humid days at the airport can also give some dramatic effects!

I'm thinking about to do a HDR version of it when I'm home
This one is just added contrast on the original raw file

Tom, do you normally shoot all your images in RAW format and then work on them when you return home?

Yes! I only do RAW shots normally, but when I'm in Oslo I'm shooting with RAW + jpg so I can upload a couple of photos if I got some sparetime left

Thank you so much... I have also started shooting RAW as of last week, and I now see why it's such a great advantage.
