Oh thank you Tommi. I had somehow lost track of Speedbird’s photos …and you have that "Braathens Safe" view too Speedbird …what a treat.

      We do agree Sterkoder...

That Braathens SAFE aircraft is my favorite as well, not only in the civil department, but in the whole museum....! And you did so well in getting the details photographed in a way I would never have done. Well done, my chap!

Not quite an alarm of any crises, but a small note to anyone planning their summer vacation of 2016:

If those plans involve a visit to the Norwegian Aviation Museum, please note that they will close their civil aviation part 22. November 2015.
They will perform a total makeover of the interior and exhibition, and will not open until December 2016. Just a tips ;-)
(Guess the military part will be open as usual though).

In the Norwegian text, it also say that this is the last chanse to ride along in the simulator, as this will not be a part of the new cicilian exhibition.
And might I add: that's fine, because this simulator must have caused the museum more money and technical headache than anything. In all my visits, it has only been operational once! During my last visit in 2012, I've promised a simulator ride with my daughter, only to find it "Out, due to technical problems".
The simulator might have caused more anger and irritation than the museum had hoped for, so it's wise decition to permanently stove it away.
The one time it worked during my visits, I was fortunate enough to fly with the Red Arrows, with a RNoAF F-16 over Svartisen and a ride in a RAF Harrier :-)

I have only been there once, and I didn't even know about the simulator.... I should have paid more attention perhaps?
