The Super Jumbo Airbus 380 comes into service world wide.

This thread started with a whole 25 pages back at the old forum:

    http://captainsvoyage.7.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=160

Here is the continuation as the a380 becomes more and more normal around the world: I both haven't seen it for real or been on board one yet... not that I anymore look forward to being stuffed into an oversized tin-can as a simple sardine (aka tourist class).

The below picture is a computer generated image by unknown artist and shows the super jumbo in Thai colors:

I saw my first A380 (Emirates) last week at New Yorks JFK airport. It is so large it seems to move very slow looking like a zeppelin or ocean liner floating in the sky. When it touched down and rolled down the runway I was surprised to see how much the tail shook. The shaking/flexing was clearly visible from a long distance.

And then to see the A380 taxi with a baby CRJ following behind. If only they had the same paint scheme. It would have looked like big mother and little baby.

I mentioned this link before, but for all of you out there that would like to have a good look around inside an a380 ****pit: this may bes something for you: a 360 degrees panorama of the entire ****pit, all the way around and up and down!

Ok, WAAAAYYYY cool. But for a long-haul plane, I would think the seats would look more comfortable....those jump seats look like a NIGHTMARE!

And, because I'm a girl..the "girlie" comment...where are the cup holders????

..You are right. Compared with today's car and truck seats and captain chairs on ships this is a bad joke. Correct seats would not have been the problem compared to the price of this bird. I wonder what pilots think about it, or are they just used to it??

..and yep, enough cup holders in that ****pit..
