This is NOT a the CONCORDE, but may our dreams of a new supersonic airliner come true?

I am excited that research continues into supersonic aircraft and how to make the boom more quiet and less offensive. Still, I am saddened that it's a private aircraft and not a commercial airliner. I can't tell you how much I would love to see the transit time cut on long haul flights. I'm such a baby when in a coach seat. Cut the flight time to Asia in half and I'd be there a lot more often.

          I do agree with you...

Another thing: when I look at this image, notice how few "windows" there is in the fuselage...... Just the front 30%.

I think we will see a corporate/private supersonic aircraft before another commercial airplane makes it to market. NASA along with partners is doing a lot of work to make the sonic boom more quiet and they seem to be making good progress. In spite of the progress I think it is at likely 20 years before supersonic flight is permitted over The United States and there is a private, non-military plane that can do it.

I'm sure our Captain won't mind my posting a link to his blog here! It's about the last-to-be-built Concorde going on display in the Bristol Aerospace Museum.
